Clothes: Vintage straw boater hat with a black ribbon hat band, pintucked lace-trimmed white cotton full-length dress, ruffled-hem petticoat, white undergarment, white stockings, and black boots
Other/Artist’s Statement: Part of the artist’s historic doll series, this one-of-a-kind character doll represents “Little Miss Celie Harris of Hartwell County, Georgia when she was still just a little girl, our shero in The Color Purple” the 1982 novel by Alice Walker and the 1985 film adaptation by Stephen Spielberg.
