Material: Cloth, paint, stuffing, synthetic hair, mohair, thread
Marks: The back of Pinkie’s left leg is signed, “WLBDA 2019 Doll by Goldie”. The front of Dolly’s left arm is signed “Doll by / Goldie / 2019”. The back of Dolly’s left leg is signed, “GW 2019”.
Height: 16 and 6-1/2 inches
Hair, Eyes, Mouths: (Pinkie) Handmade by the artist, black synthetic hair is styled with bangs and several looped braids on both sides underneath a lace-trimmed, permanently attached pink bonnet. (Dolly) Handmade mohair wig is accented with a large pink bow. Both dolls have hand-painted facial features.
Clothes: (Pinkie) Dressed in a pink and off-white vintage-bicycle-print dress with a pink pinafore, pink pantalettes, a pink bonnet, and painted-on old-fashioned button-style boots; (Dolly) Dolly’s dress is made of the same fabric as Pinkie’s without a pinafore. Dolly has pink pantalettes and painted-on black shoes.
Other: Pinkie’s wired fingers clasp together to hold the smaller doll securely. An ultra-limited edition of 17 doll pairs was made by Goldie Wilson for the 2019 We Love Black Dolls Anew group’s 2019 club doll.
