Other: The WeLoveBlackDolls Anew (WLBDA) Facebook group commissioned Sue Sizemore to create a limited edition of 17, similar, one-of-a-kind dolls for their 2017 club dolls. The dolls are dressed in different cotton-print fabrics. As a surprise gift from the group’s founder, Sue was commissioned to create miniature dolls to accompany each member’s club doll.
The Prototype: A gift from the artist to the group’s founder, Goldie, is the prototype WLBDA 2017 club doll. Only Goldie’s mini doll has a dress that matches the larger doll’s dress. In the gallery, see photos of Goldie and the group of 17 club dolls.
