Name:  Koenig & Wernicke 134/16

Made by and When: Koenig & Wernicke, ca. 1920s

Material: Bisque head and composition body, glass eyes, human hair wig

Marks: (Top of Head) K&W / g or 8 or S (the last character/number is illegible. (Neck) 134 / 16/0

Height: 14 inches

Hair, Eyes, Mouth: Reddish-brown human-hair wig, brown-glass flirty eyes with attached upper eyelashes; painted-red full lips, and two upper teeth

Clothes: Wears a period-appropriate red dress, replaced socks and black leather shoes

Other: The Koenig & Wernicke 134/16 mold, used only for black dolls by the German doll company is rare. This doll has bent knees. Koenig & Wernicke made dolls in Waltershausen, Thuringia, Germany from 1912 through 1935 and often included black dolls in their extensive line of character and dolly-face dolls.
