Name: Ayana 

Made by and When:  Laura Tuzio Ross for MasterPiece Gallery, 2005

Material:  Silicone/vinyl head, lower arms and legs; pellet-filled, brown cloth body; cloth upper arms and upper legs

Height:  20 inches

Hair, Eyes, Mouth:  Originally had sparsely glued-on black synthetic hair now replaced with thicker synthetic black hair, brown eyes with applied upper eyelashes, open-closed mouth with lined lips.

Clothing:  Orange romper with orange and brown sleeves, matching head wrap, disposable diaper, gold earrings, gold beaded bracelet, orange bunting with brown and orange Afrocentric trim that matches the romper trim

Other:  Sold through MasterPiece Gallery/MasterPiece Dolls and made in a limited edition of 350, this doll is #27 in the edition. A photograph, hang tag, and a certificate of authenticity accompanied Ayana. Note: In the head mark, the artist’s first name is misspelled, Loura.
