Clothes: This doll wears a dark blue sports uniform with the initials OJ on the long-sleeved top, a blue helmet, white socks, and blue and white sneakers. Has an extra blue #32 jersey, red shorts, and a football. (See a complete O.J. gift set doll and accessories here.)
Other: This portrait doll of Orenthal James Simpson, a.k.a. O.J. Simpson and “The Juice” was introduced during the height of Simpson’s football career with the Buffalo Bills. Shindana Toys, Inc. mass-produced ethnically correct black dolls to elevate Black children’s self-awareness and cultural consciousness. Portrait dolls in the likeness of entertainment and sports figures of J. J. Evans, Redd Foxx, Marla Gibbs, Flip Wilson, basketball star Dr. J., and football star O.J. Simpson also helped Black children visualize their ability to become impactful contributors to society.
