Hair, Eyes, Mouth: The long black-rooted hair is side parted with a side-swept bang covering the doll’s left eye, brown-painted eyes, and a closed mouth with dark wine lip color.

Clothes/Accessories: The black faux leather clothing ensemble of a sleeveless vest, a crop top, and pants with silvery stud details is inspired by Aaliyah’s style in the “One in a Million” music video. Signature accessories include black aviator-style sunglasses and armbands that match the outfit. Packaging includes a doll stand and a certificate of authenticity. The back of the box offers a detailed description of the doll and lovely head shot images of the singer/actress as illustrated next.

Other: To honor the life and sound of chart-topping, record-breaking American musician Aaliyah, Mattel Creations’ Barbie Music Series Aaliyah was initially offered to Barbie Club 59 members on January 15, 2025, on the eve of what would have been the R&B singer/actresses’ 46^th birthday. Available quantities sold out at the Mattel Creations website within minutes! Once again, additional quantities sold out on January 16, 2025, when sales were offered by Mattel Creations to the general public. January 26, 2025, was the official release date of this highly sought-after Black Label Signature Series portrait doll of Aaliyah Dana Haughton who died tragically in a plane crash on August 25, 2001.
