Other: Musical Lullabye Baby has a pull-string that activates the Brahms’ Lullaby music box inside the torso. The doll’s head slowly moves from side to side as the lullaby plays (see the video below the Gallery). Six grill holes are in the lower torso. Except for the right little finger, all fingers on that hand are partially curved under. On the left, all fingers are curved under; the thumb is not. The big toes are upturned. Musical Lullabye Baby has bent baby legs with dimpled knees.
The original name for white versions of this doll that first appeared in the 1963 Horsman catalog was Lullabye Baby. “Musical” was added to the name in the 1969 catalog when the black version is first mentioned (without a picture) in the pictured white doll’s details. A picture of the black doll is included in Horsman’s 1970 catalog, which is included in the gallery photos.

Musical Lullabye Baby’s functions and features are described in the 1970 Horsman catalog—twists and turns; plays a lullaby; drinks and wets; completely washable. The bottom front of the box reads, “Pull the string & music plays. She twists and turns.”
